"Promises to Keep: Diane's Story" by Dean Hughes

If you have read the Hearts of the Children and Children of the Promise series' by Dean Hughes and you don't know that this final book is out then go get it now! Readers just wanted to know one thing at the end of the fifth volume of Children of the Promise: What happens to Diane? Well... I'm not going to tell you!

Predictable. Enjoyable. Satisfying.

I got it in the mail yesterday in the morning and by 8:00 PM had it all finished. Did my kids suffer? Yes. But now I can return to normalcy.

I don't even remember who Diane is? I guess I need a refresher course. But, this sounds good.

sooo, i found your blog via another blog via another blog, etc...and since i would rather read than eat, sleep, or do just about anything else i decided to have a look around!

my comment has nothing to do with the Dean Hughes book..(sorry)...but i was reading your post from August regarding Cranford and i just had to tell you 2 things...

1. I TOTALLY agree with your opinion of Elizabeth Gaskell...i think she's amazing!
2. OMG...you are the only other person I've ever run across that ditto's my opinion of John Thornton!!!! (luv him, luv him, LUV him!) I would take him over Darcy any day, too! =)

p.s.~ have you watched the BBC adaptation of North and South? AMAZING

Debilyn -

I have seen the BBC version of "North and South" and I do like it but I have to admit that it is not a favorite of mine. I think they painted John Thorton as a beast in the movie.

If you haven't seen Cranford then you must!
